Baby Loves Disco was AWESOME.

Okay, at the risk of sounding like DJ Lance, Baby Loves Disco was A-W-E-S-O-M-E. I love the idea behind it. I’m all for anything that promotes family bonding. When that activity involves a disco ball, Hollywood, a DJ, and an amazing charity, I’m sold.

My boys gravitated toward the disco ball. They shook their money makers. Seriously, they had a full on dance-off with this older boy in a Batman shirt that was a mad good dancer. They rocked out with a red Power Ranger that did some crazy cool version of break dancing. When everyone got hungry, we gravitated toward a super kid friendly snack buffet. It was organic goodness that made this Mama happy indeed.

There was even a “Baby Mama and Baby Daddy” dance competition. My husband and I are practicing for the next time BLD rolls through Hollywood….we won’t disappoint, ya’ll.

Take Away Moment: When kids dance, they are completely uninhibited. I love that. They dance in a crowd the way we dance in front of the mirror. If they want to shake a leg, they shake it. If they feel like hopping, they hop. It is my hope that we can all take this uber confidence with us the next time we feel like dancing in a crowd.
