Working out when you are a parent can be a hella challenge. You’ve got to find someone to wrangle your kids while you get your sweat on. It can be hard to motivate, because, frankly, if someone is watching your kids, the last thing you want to do is work. I get it.
However….
Drop that glass of merlot and grab your kicks. By showing your kids that you are taking care of yourself, you are teaching them a fine lesson. While most of our nation is pretty darn obese, we are demonstrating to our young the importance of proper diet and exercise. The diet part is easy, don’t eat crap. The exercise can be a challenge. So, here’s the deal:
Find something FUN. Find something that kicks your butt and gets your adrenaline rushing. Your kids and your booty will thank you.
Me? I practice what I preach. My secret weapon is Natalie Raitano. This chick does it all. Acting, singing, djing, and crazy training and inspiration making at the uber amazing Barry’s Bootcamp. (And her ABS, can we please talk about her abs?)
I call this summer my SUMMER OF NATALIE. Every day Nat targets a different body part. Using a mixture of weights and treadmills, she pushes you to work your absolute hardest. Sometimes exercise can get tedious and boring. Not at Barry’s. Not ever. Crazy fun music (you know how I love my tunes), nightclub lighting, and sweat. Lots and lots of sweat. To quote Natalie: “You got this.”
Do you ever.
